A registered non-governmental foundation, Imam IbnulQayyim Islamic Foundation through her project tagged: 1445 RAMADAN WELFARE PACKAGE has distributed twenty (20) bags of rice, one bag of beans, one bag of millet, eight bags of semovita, six cartoons of vegetable oil, four cartoons of tomato paste, packs of sugar, packs of salt and packs of tasty cubes chicken flavour today Thursday, 14th March, 2024 at Muflihun Schools, Muslim-Mosfala Road, Ajibola Street, beside Alaafia Bread Bakery, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The Annual Ramadan Welfare Package is aimed at relieving needy fasting Muslims most especially during this hard economy when most families are lamenting bitterly of hike in prices of commodities in the country.
The foundation's Director, Ustādh Rasheed Haashim explained that over one hundred families benefitted from this first batch. The situation became worrisome when mammoth crowd of the needy people forced their way to the venue of the distribution. It was indeed a strenuous task for IbnulQayyim Foundation officials controlling the crowd.
The beneficiaries of the first batch of 1445 Annual Ramadan Welfare Package having received the foodstuffs and other palliatives profoundly appreciated the foundation's kind gesture extended to them. They supplicated to Allah to continue strengthening the foundation and enriching the pockets of donors.
Ustādh Haashim appreciated the foundation's board of trustees, monthly donors, the foundation's officials and all the donors in this 1445 Ramadan Welfare Package. He specially appreciated members of Islamic Discussion WhatsApp Groups, a beloved philanthropic family here in Ibadan that donated huge foodstuffs, members of Unilomga WhatsApp Forum and brethren in diaspora who donated bulk of the money spent on the project.
Ustadh Haashim then urged wealthy people to support the foundation in all her charitable activities by donating generously to the foundation's JAIZ Bank account number: 0011843672 or join the team of monthly donors. Those who wish to pay Zakat can as well transfer it to the foundation's Jaiz bank account above.
He assured donors of judicious use of their donations with fear of Allah as the motto of the foundation still remains: *"Caring for the less privileged with fear of Allah."
He admonished people to always feed the hungry in their various communities as it is one of the righteous deeds that leads to Paradise. He cited Hadith of Abdullah bin Salam where the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O people, exchange greetings of peace, feed (the poor and needy), strengthen the ties of kinship and perform Salat when others are asleep, you will enter Paradise in peace."
He concluded his remarks by enormously appreciating all the sponsors of IbnulQayyim Islamic Foundation charitable activities home and abroad. He prayed Almighty Allah in His infinite mercy reward them with Firdaws and bless their sources of income.
