Honourable Oloye Suraj Abiodun Tiamy, the Special Adviser to Gov Makinde On Education Intervention, has on Sunday celebrated the victory of Akinyele Chairman-Elect, Hon Wole Akinleye, describing the outcome of Saturday’s Council Poll, won by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates across the state as an expression of the will of the people through ballot.
“With the election over, the Honourable Tiamy expressed conviction that the people of Akinyele have expressed their will through the ballot, and the will of the people must always matter and be respected in a democratic setting,” he said in a release by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Sanusi Abdullahi Oyelekan.
Continuing, he noted further that the successful conduct of the election was a further testimony to the maturity and commitment of all stakeholders – the electoral body, security agencies, political parties, the media, civil society and the electorate – to further strengthen the integrity of the electoral process in the country.
Hon Tiamy, therefore, reassured the people of Akinyele that the commitment of Makinde-led administration towards having an enviable state.
