The Special Adviser to Gov Makinde On Education Intervention, Honourable Oloye Suraj Abiodun Tiamy has congratulated the Lagelu Local Government Chairman-Elect, Hon Mudashiru Kamorudeen for winning in the highly contested Chairmanship elections that held yesterday (Saturday).
In a congratulatory message personally released in Ibadan on Sunday 28th April, 2024 hours after the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) made official declarations of all the winners of Saturday’s Council Poll, Hon Tiamy said, the Chairman-Elect, Hon Mudashiru Kamorudeen deserved every commendation, and wished that his victory will consolidate the policies of the Seyi Makinde-led administration.
In Tiamy's words, "This victory is a call to duty and it is my wish that with this victory comes the consolidation of the years of massive infrastructure development and progressive policies of our dear Governor, His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde's administration, deepening of the democratic process, advancement of social democracy, promotion of party discipline and guaranteeing of better life for all.
"Equally important is the need to ensure that Oyo State meets her historic responsibility among the states of the federation as the one setting the pace while others follow.
“I also congratulate His Excellency, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, the leaders and members of great our party, the People's Democratic Party (PDP), other political parties that participated in the election and their candidates, for the keen contest and a successful election.
“I pray that God will grant all the winners good health and the wisdom needed for a successful tenure in their respective offices,” Hon Tiamy prayed.
