Hardship: HelpLine Orphans And Widows Welfare Foundation Again Empowers Widow In Ogun


To cushion the effects of Economic Hardship currently being experienced, a non-profit charity organization, HelpLine Orphans and Widows Welfare Foundation (HOWF) has on Saturday 7th September, 2024 equivalent to 11th Rabiu-ul-Awwal, 1446A.H again empowered a widow from Ota, Ogun State through business establishment.

HelpLine Orphans and Widows Welfare Foundation is a non-profit organization officially launched in year 2022/1443A.H and incorporated in year 2023/1444A.H to cater for the less privileged especially the Widows, Orphans, among other needy in the society.

The beneficiary, Mrs Salami Rashidah from Ota Ogun State got the goods which comprised school bags, shoes, sandals, slippers, crocs, underwears, UK Wears for Adults and children worth 300,000.00. 


However, the motive behind this according to the Foundation's Vision to be able to cater for herself and orphans left behind by her husband who died few years ago. 

While handling over the goods on behalf of the HelpLine Orphans and Widows Welfare Foundation (HOWF) at the Lagos State Central Mosque frontage, Malam Sanusi Abdullahi and Malam Teslim Raji said, part of the Foundation's visions is to reach out to all the less privileged in the society especially, the widows, orphans and the likes.


In his statement, "It is no doubt that all needy especially the widows in our society are going to through a lot of difficulties and it is very pertinent for all right thinking individuals to take care of the widows which will be automatically felt by the Orphans left as a result of the father's death. 

"The HOWF Foundation is here today Saturday 7th September, 2024 at the Lagos State Central Mosque frontage to disburse the goods worth N300,000.00 according to the Beneficiary's preferences.

"Aside Widows' Business Establishment Project, this Foundation has been assisting the Orphans to complete their school fees in all levels of education and recently, it obtained UTME forms for some selected orphans which the prerequisite is to have complete SSCE results", Sanusi said. 


He, however, thanked all the donors and the members of the Working Committee for putting ideas together to make the disbursement a reality and sought for more donors home and abroad so, the less privileged in the society could benefit from their God given wealth.

While receiving the goods, the Beneficiary, Mrs Salami Rashidah with the joy written on her face said, she was overwhelmed and tearfully prayed for all the contributors and Organisers. According to her, she said she would forever remember this great impact brought to her family in this hard time by 'HELPLINE ORPHANS and WIDOWS WELFARE FOUNDATION'.

In his remarks, the Beneficiary's Community Mosque Imam, Malam Oyewole Musa after testifying to the Beneficiary's situation before HOWF located her sent his encouragement speech to the Donors especially in this hard time. 

He encouraged the Donors/contributors to continue with this and prayed that Allah rewards the donors and organizers enormously.
