RECRUITMENT UPDATE: Oyo Govt Reveals Details Of Vacancies, Requirements Into Oyo State Civil Service Commission

Applications are invited from prospective qualified candidates for employment into the vacancies existing in the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the Oyo State Civil Service. The positions to filled, as well as the qualifications required from the applicants, are as stated below:-


I. Administrative Officer II, GL.08

Requirements: a. Applicants must possess a degree in any of the disciplines of Social Science or Humanities from a recognized Institution.

b. Applicants must have written and pass any of the Public Service Examination (PSE) conducted by ASCON between year 2021 and 2024


II. Higher Executive Officer (General Duties), GL.08

Requirement: Applicants must possess a minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration or Public Administration or Banking and Finance from a recognized Institution.


III. Accountant II, GL.08

Requirement:      a. Applicants must possess a degree in Accounting from a recognized University

b. Applicants must have written and pass any of the Public Service Examination (PSE) conducted by ASCON between year 2021 and 2024


IV. Higher Executive Officer (Accounts), GL.08

Requirement: Applicants must possess a minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy, Business Administration or Banking and Finance obtained from a recognized Institution


V. Auditor II, GL.08

Requirement: a. Applicants must possess a degree in Accounting from a recognized University


VI. Higher Executive Officer (Audit), GL.08

Requirement: Applicants must possess a minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy, Business Administration or Banking and Finance obtained from a recognized Institution


VII. Inspector of Taxes II, GL.08

Requirement: Applicants must possess a degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics with Accounting as a special subject, obtained from a recognised University.


VIII. Higher Executive Officer (Revenue), GL.08

Requirement: Applicants must possess a minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy, Business Administration or Banking and Finance obtained from a recognized Institution


IX.    Registrar of Cooperative Societies II, GL.08

Requirement: a. Applicants must possess a degree in Arts, Economics, Agriculture, Law, Business Administration or Accounting from a recognised University

b. Applicants must have written and pass any of the Public Service Examination (PSE) conducted by ASCON between year 2021 and 2024


X.   Higher Cooperative Officer, GL.08

Requirement: Applicants must possess a minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy or Business Administration from a recognised Institution.


XI. Statistician II, GL.08

Requirement: a. A degree in Statistics as a special subject from recognised 

University 

Or

b. A degree from a recognised University in Social Science or Mathematics without Statistics plus a Post-graduate Diploma in Statistics

XII. Higher Statistical Officer, GL.08

Requirement:       A minimum of Higher National Diploma in Statistics from an accredited Institution.


XIII. Cultural Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: a. A degree in Fine Arts, Music, Theatrical Arts, English Literature, Linguistics or Journalism from a recognised Institute


XIV. Higher Executive Officer (Culture), GL.08

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma in Fine Arts, Drama, Music or Journalism obtained from a recognised Institution


XV.   Tourism Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: A degree preferably in Arts, Tourism or Social Science obtained from a recognised University.


XV.    Higher Executive Officer (Tourism), GL.08

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma ((HND) in Tourism, Social Work or Catering and Hotel Management from a recognised Institution 


XVI. Information and Public Relations Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: A degree preferably in Arts, Journalism, Social Sciences or English from a recognised University


XVII.   Higher Executive Officer (Information and Public Relations), GL.08

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma in mass Communication or Journalism from a recognised Institution


XVIII.   Social Welfare Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: A degree in Social Work or any relevant Social Sciences or Physical and Health Education obtained from a recognised University


XIX. Assistant Social Welfare Officer I, GL.07

Requirement: National Certificate in Education (NCE) with specialization in Social Studies or Home Economics


XX. Youth Development Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: A degree in Youth Works or in any of the relevant Social Science disciplines or Physical and Health Education from a recognised University


XXI. Youth Development Assistant, GL.07

Requirement: National Certificate in Education (NCE) in any of the relevant Social Sciences or Physical and Health Education from a recognised College of Education/Institution


XXII. Environmental Health Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: A degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Management, Environmental Education, Pollution Control, Nutrition and Hospital Management




XXIII. Higher Environmental Health Technologist, GL.08

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Environmental Science from a recognised Institution.


XXIV. Education Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: a. A degree in Education from a recognized University.

b. A degree in relevant subject plus a post-graduate Certificate in Education


XXV. Adult Education Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: a. A degree in Adult Education from a recognized University.

b. A degree in relevant subject plus a post-graduate Certificate in Adult Education


XXVI.     Lands Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: A degree in Estate Management or Land Economy from a recognised University


XXVII.   Higher Estate Officer. GL.08

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Estate Management obtained from a recognised Institution


XXVIII.    Surveyor II, GL.08

Requirement: a. A degree in Survey, Land Surveying, Survey Engineering, Geodetic Science or Geodetic Engineering, Surveying and Geo-Informatics, Hydrography, Photogeometry, Geodesty, Geographical Information System (GIS); Remote Sensing and Cartography

or

b. A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography and Other cognate disciplines from a recognized University with a qualifying Certificate in Surveying from School of Survey Oyo and any other approved Institutions.


XXIX.      Higher Technical Officer (Survey), GL.08

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Surveying from a recognised Institution


XXX.   Higher Technical Officer (Town Planning), GL.08

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Town Planning from a recognised Institution


XXXI. Veterinary Officer, GL.12

Requirement: Basic degree in Veterinary Medicine, who has been registered by the Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN) and successfully completed the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC) or obtained Exemption Certificate of NYSC.


XXXII.    Agricultural Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: A degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture, Crop Science or crop Production from a recognised University


XXXIII.    Animal Husbandry Officer II, GL.08

Requirement: A degree in Animal Science, Animal Husbandry, Animal Production, Agriculture or Range Management from a recognised University




XXXIV.   Animal Health Technologist II, GL.08

Requirement:     A minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Animal Health from a recognised Institution.




XXXV.      Higher Agricultural Technologists, GL.08

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma in Agriculture Science or Technology from a recognised Institution


XXXVI. Animal Husbandry Technologist II, GL.08

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma in Animal Husbandry from a recognised Institution


XXXVII. State Counsel I, GL.09

Requirement: A candidate who is legally qualified to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in Nigeria.


XXXVIII.    Electrical Engineer I, GL.09

Requirement: A candidate possessing a degree in electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification registerable with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN)


XXXIX.      Higher Technical Officer (Electrical)

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related subject from a recognised Institution.


XL.     Civil Engineer I, GL.09

Requirement: A candidate possessing a degree in Civil Engineering or such other qualifications registerable with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN)


XLI. Higher Technical Officer (Civil), GL.08

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma in relevant subject from a recognised Institution.


XLII.     Mechanical Engineer I, GL.09

Requirement: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field registerable with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN)


XLIII.       Higher Technical Officer (Mechanical)

Requirement: A minimum of Higher National Diploma in relevant subject from a recognised Institution.

All applicants must have graduated with a minimum of second class lower degree in the University or lower credit for those with Higher National Diploma Certificate from the Polytechnic, as well as NYSC discharged certificate or Exemption Certificate. 

All applications must be accompanied with Certificate of State and Local Government of origin, birth certificate or declaration of age and primary school leaving certificate.
