In furtherance of its unwavering commitment to achieving Vision 2030, Ar-Riddoh Islamic International Foundation has recorded landmarks achievements in terms of youths training and signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, MoU with organizations of like minds.
A comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding, MoU was signed with Islah Consult, in Kano for the training of 1,000 youths, including the less privileged, the orphans, persons with special needs, and the widow.
The training, which will come up immediately after the forthcoming Ramadan focuses on leadership, skills acquisition and Information and Communication Technology, ICT.
According to the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer, Ar-Riddoh Islamic International Foundation, Sheikh Muhammadu-Jamiu Abdulgafar the training is to empower the youths with requisite leadership acumen and to make them financially stable for poverty alleviation in the society.
"Ar-Riddoh is expanding the frontiers of its multiple trainings to all nooks and crannies of Nigerian states in order to achieve the vision 2030, which is to train and empower 10,000 youths, the less privileged among widows, orphans and persons with special needs, who will be the trainers of trainees", he noted.
In another landmark achievement, the foundation has successfully completed the training of 600 people consisting of women, orphans, indigent students, the less privileged and persons with special needs and economic survival at the famous Barewa College, Zaria.
Similarly, the milestone feat was replicated at the Kawo Primary School, Kaduna where 1,000 graduands have benefitted from the training on various vocations and initiatives.
Residents of Rigasa, Kaduna were not left out of the well thought out programmes of Ar-Riddoh Islamic International Foundation aiming at raising financial status of majority of Nigerians and equally equip them with necessary leadership qualities for societal transformation and national development.
Four hundred people who are in the selected categories of women, orphans indigent students, the less privileged and persons with special needs were considered for the training on various vocations to earn decent living in August last year.
Sheikh Muhammadu-Jamiu Abdulgafar explained that the foundation is working assiduously to attract cash support for beneficiaries as start-up capital.
"The foundation, Ar-Riddoh Islamic International is unrelenting in its drive to collaborate philanthropists locally and internationally to provide interest-free start-ups to be repaid in flexible Instalments spread till 2030 in line with our vision", he hinted.
Sheikh Abdulgafar also pointed out that religious and community leaders were engaged and incorporated into the scheme as stakeholders for effective monitoring of progress reports about businesses and vocations.
According to Sheikh Abdulgafar, "the foundation also adopts proxy mentorship as Ar-Riddoh has saddled our community partners; religious and community leaders in various locations with the responsibility of data collection of the needy and to follow up on how the beneficiaries are faring so they can provide us with positive assessment report after one year.
He added that Ar-Riddoh Islamic International Foundation offers broad training to the youths and other interested individuals on Cosmetology, Catering, Baking, Handset Repair, production of Traditional Incense, Bag Making, Shoe Making, Bedsheet and Pillow Making, Perfumery and Makeup within a period of one month and award a Diploma Certificate in ICT fundamental knowledge to successful graduands.
