A gubernatorial hopeful of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) and Baameko of Ibadan land, Oloye Saheed Oladele has offered full scholarships to the children of the late Vice Chairman of Ibadan Industrial and Agricultural Machineries Dealers Association (Zone ll) Gbagi-Ogunpa, Surajudeen Adewale Popoola.
He made the announcement of up to the university tuition free for two children and a donation of notable sum of money for the support of the widows at the 3day fidau prayer hosted in his repose on Sunday in Ibadan.
In his elegy, Baameko lamented the sudden death of late Surajudeen Popoola saying, his passage was a huge blow to their fast evolving friendship mostly towards his political aspiration drive among the trading and artisanal groups across the major markets in Ibadan.
"It is so disheartening Egbon Surajudeen’s demise did not avail me a long privilege to enjoy the kindness all and sundry are saying of his person since we became a team players in the last two months.
"He spiritedly personalized and evangelized my gubernatorial aspiration as his beyond my imagination till his transition, Oladele said.
Oloye Oladele after the jubilant cheers and gratitude from the family, friends and leaders of various trading bodies in attendance for the humanitarian gestures prayed for eternal rest of his late political associate and implored his children to imbibe the virtue of their late father as popularly testified to by all across his footprints.
