Special Adviser to Gov Makinde On Education Intervention, Hon Tiamy Hails Oyo Governor’s Swift Boundary Resolution That Led to Schools Closure For Over 10 Years

 In a commendation statement today, Hon. Oloye Suraj Abiodun-Tiamy, the Special Adviser to the Oyo state Governor on Education Intervention, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde over Governor's decisive action in reopening 23 schools in Atiba, Afijio, Oyo West and Oyo East Local Government areas of the state. This momentous decision comes as a resolution to a decade-long boundary dispute.


Hon. Tiamy in a statement personally signed by him in Ibadan on Friday, he specifically lauded the efforts of Deputy Governor Barr. Bayou Lawal, who not only oversaw the reconciliation committee but played a crucial role in bringing about this positive change in our state education sector.
The commendations was extended to Hon. Commissioner for Education Prof. Saliu Adelabu, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Adeniran, and the four Local Government Chairmen, all of whom served as key committee members.

The collaborative efforts of these dedicated individuals have not only brought an end to a prolonged dispute but have paved the way for renewed educational opportunities in the affected regions. Hon. Tiamy emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in resolving longstanding issues for the benefit of the community.
