UK Based Solicitor Emerges New Mogaji of ALIIWO By Ridwan Fasasi

Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba  Owolabi Olakulehin will on Monday, 10th February install a United Kingdom based solicitor, Prince Kamaldeen Giwa as the new Mogaji of Aliiwo Royal Family.

Prince Kamaldeen Giwa will assume the mantle of leadership of Aliiwo Royal Family after the passage of the immediate past Olubadan, Oba Olalekan Balogun, Ali-Okunmade the second.

 The new Mogaji is the 10th to emerge from Aliiwo Royal Family since 1877 when Amodu Ejalonibu became the first Mogaji-Agba of the family.

The event which will come up at the Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo will have in attendance sons  and daughters of Aliiwo both at home and in diaspora.

A reception in honor of the new Mogaji will follow at the Aliwo Palace, Agodi-Gate, Ibadan.

Born in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, Mogaji Kamaldeen Giwa had his primary and secondary education at The Polytechnic Staff School and The Polytechnic High School, Ibadan. 

He had his first degree in Sociology at the University of Lagos in 1993 and proceeded to have another degree in Law at the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom.

Mogaji Kamaldeen Giwa worked for the United Kingdom’s government for over two decades and he is  solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

He s a director of a leading law firm in the United Kingdom and has various business interests in Africa and Europe. 

The new Mogaji  is a philanthropist of note especially in the areas of education, poverty alleviation and access to justice. 

His hobbies also include sports, literature, world affairs, travelling and the preservation of traditional African architecture.
