RECRUITMENT UPDATE: Oyo Civil Service Commission Insists Application Portal Closes On Friday, Says Applicants To Prepare For CBT Exercise


The Chairman, Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe has hinted the general public especially those who have successfully applied for the Oyo State Civil Service Commission job to get prepared for the Computer Based Test Exercise as selection would be based on merit.

Aderibigbe stated this as a guest during a Radio programme tagged "THE PLATFORM" on Success FM Ibadan on Thursday afternoon.

According to him, "We to ensure competence in the discharge of the Commission's duties without any political interference as this recruitment would be on merit basis so as to select capable hands into the career services. 

"This is a mandate from His Excellency, Oyo State Governor Engr Seyi Makinde that capable hands devoid of any political interference are to be selected into the service and we are working towards that," Aderibigbe said. 

When asked if the Commission would extend the application deadline to accommodate more applicants especially those who were yet to choose their preferred department to serve, Aderibigbe said, there was no going back on the stipulated deadline, adding that, Commission would not be responsible for technical hitches as a result of 'fire brigade' approach from the part of applicants. 

Recall that Oyo State Government has approved the recruitment process of about Seven hundred and Ninety-one (791) officers of various cadres into the mainstream of its civil service. 

And to ensure due diligence, fairness and equity in the recruitment process, prospective applicants will be required to log into the State Government job portal www.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng from Monday, 7th October 2024 to Friday, 11th October 2024
