Honourable Oloye Suraj Abiodun Tiamy has described the Executive Governor of Oyo State His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde over the outcome of the 10th Oyo state Assembly Inauguration/leadership as a quintessential democrat, icon of humility, a remarkable man of peace and extraordinary global citizen.
Honourable Tiamy stated this while speaking with the newsmen shortly after the inauguration of state Assembly members today (Wednesday) at the Assembly Complex, Secretariat, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
In his statement "His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde is a quintessential democrat, icon of humility, a remarkable man of peace and extraordinary global citizen for having no interference in the choice of state Assembly leadership.
"Without doubt, this is how to identify a true democratic leader per excellence and it won't have any negative impacts on the passage of the developmental bills, or future power tussle between the Assembly members hence, fast track developments and progress for the state under his leadership.
"It is of my great hope that his style of leadership has created a lot of chances to the upcoming leaders in the state and the country at large", Hon Tiamy concluded.
Tiamy also congratulated all the state Assembly members and specially felicitated the members from his Constituency, Honourable Olatunde Akintunde of the Lagelu state Constituency, Honourable Deacon Kehinde Taofeek of the Akinyele state Constituency II and Honourable Lekan Abiola of the Akinyele state Constituency I and prayed that God grant them all wisdom and guidance to discharge their legislative duties.
